In 2026, Dolley Madison Garden Club requested and received a large grant in the amount of $7000 from the Shenandoah-Potomac Garden Council. This grant was used for the Old Charles Town Library Landscaping Refresh.

Located at 200 East Washington Street, the Old Charles Town Library is an important landmark in Charles Town which includes a library that serves the entire Jefferson County community as well as the Jefferson County Museum. In conjunction with work on the existing plant materials, trees and shrubs, additional work was needed to replace a bench pillar cap and install a stone path to facilitate access to the bench from the front sidewalk.
