About Us

Our mission is to beautify and refurbish public spaces in our communities to encourage their use by both residents and visitors.

We believe in the value of green spaces, and we hope our plantings contribute to the overall health and happiness of our visitors.

Shenandoah-Potomac Garden Council is a group of eight Federated garden clubs in Jefferson and Berkeley Counties, West Virginia. The House and Garden tour is our sole fundraising venture for our community projects.

Why Berkeley and Jefferson Counties?

Berkeley and Jefferson Counties provide the perfect landscape for house and garden tours. The area’s history, architecture and horticulture is as rich and varied as the individuals who settled the area centuries ago. The buildings and homes that have been on the tour over the years provide tangible elements of this region’s history and include fascinating accounts of the players and plots over time.
