The Windflower Garden Club received a $7,500 beautification grant for Sam Michaels Park in Jefferson County, located at 235 Sam Michaels Park, from the SPGC in 2025. The grant’s purpose was to plant trees on the grounds and build and plant a garden containing two flagpoles at The Amp. The garden club coordinated with the park’s director, maintenance manager, and other volunteers throughout the project. Forty-two trees, including maple, oak, poplar, ginkgo, magnolia, redwood, and dogwood, are now thriving on the grounds. The Job Corps of Harpers Ferry built the 10’X10’ stone base flower bed containing two flagpoles at The Amp. The Windflower Garden Club filled the bed with 50 perennials and 250 bulbs.
